How not to give a toast

One of the developers in our organization is moving to another team, as part of the farewell celebration people were asked to tell (real-life) funny stories about the person. There were many good ones, here is my favorite:

Thomas was getting married for the x'th time, and new wife x hated wife x-1. Thomas's best man started his speech by referring to wife x by wife x-1's name. There was a big commotion, crying, etc., but finally the bride was comforted and the best man continued his speech, a bit shaky in the beginning, but he got confident again, and made a quite good speech, ending in proposing a toast for Thomas... and wife x-1...
